This in-demand prep in leafy Richmond is going co-ed beyond nursery age from September 2024 – which will no doubt make it an even more compelling choice for local families. Something of a Tardis, there’s plenty of space for playing and exploring, and the lovely nursery is one of the most nurturing we’ve visited. Spread across three sites on parallel residential roads, the school is split into the nursery, the junior and senior departments. Bursaries

Bursary provision at King’s House is means-tested and awarded in the form of a discount of up to 100% of the tuition fees. These aim to broaden access to the school. Bursary awards are available to all parents/guardians of children entering any year group from Year 3 to 6. If a pupil has already secured assisted entry to an independent senior school at 13+, bursary applications may also be considered for Year 7 and 8. They can also be awarded to relieve hardship where a pupil’s education would otherwise be at risk. Bursary Administration Limited (BAL) assist in reviewing bursary application, submitting feedback to the school’s bursary committee. Scholarships are not available at King’s House.

Following a fantastic start to the transition to co-education with girls joining Reception and Year 1 this year, King’s House School is delighted that the Governing Board and Senior Management Team have given their approval for girls to join Year 7 from September 2025.
