FECT, CFBL and Lycée International Winston Churchill Launch the Bridge Scholarship
FECT, CFBL (Collège Français Bilingue de Londres) and Lycée International Winston Churchill are proud to launch the Bridge Scholarship – a new initiative supporting students as they move from CFBL to Lycée Churchill.
Backed by FECT (French Education Charitable Trust), which played a founding role in both schools, the scholarship strengthens access to excellent bilingual education while deepening the partnership between our two institutions.
The Bridge Scholarship will:·
- Support high-achieving CFBL students continuing their bilingual journey·
- Provide financial support to families where fees may be a barrier·
- Offer clarity and continuity across key secondary school years
Each year, two students will be awarded the scholarship. It provides financial support over four years, from 3ème (Year 10) at CFBL through to the end of their schooling at Lycée Churchill.
David Gassian, Headteacher of CFBL:
'The Bridge Scholarship strengthens the pathway we offer beyond CFBL. It allows us to support families at a key moment, while ensuring continuity and ambition for every student. We are also proud of our alumni as they go on to thrive in excellent schools such as Churchill, building on the strong bilingual foundations they have developed with us.'
Mireille Rabaté, Head of School:
'This scholarship reflects our commitment to an ambitious and inclusive bilingual education. It also celebrates the strength of our partnership between two bilingual schools, enabling students to continue and deepen their journey with confidence. We’re proud to welcome talented students from CFBL and support them throughout their journey.'
Benjamin Vedrenne-Cloquet, Trustee of FECT:
'This programme reflects FECT’s mission to build a strong, coherent bilingual pathway in London – supporting students, families and long-term collaboration between our schools.'
The programme will be reviewed annually to ensure it continues to meet the needs of students and families.
