Magistrates’ Workshop

A lucky group of 35 Lower Sixth and Fifth Year pupils were treated to a highly interactive workshop with two local magistrates over lunchtime earlier this term.

They were given the chance to work as a ‘bench’ to learn what magistrates do and how Magistrates’ Courts function.

This event provided an excellent foundation in preparation for visiting the court itself, which students did later in the term.

They were lucky enough to visit whilst the court was sitting, again hosted by sitting magistrates, allowing them a brilliant insight into the inner workings of the court.
